Ace filmmaker Karan Johar, who is all set to make a grand comeback into direction after 2 long years since his last film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, has announced his next big project. Titled as ‘Takht’, the film has a starry cast that includes Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and finally Anil Kapoor. Screenplay by Sumit Roy, the movie is all set to release in 2020.

Taking to his social media, KJo had tweeted a series of tweets unveiling the details of the movie one at a time. The tweets not only have aroused the curiosities, but the final star casts of the film has stirred up the expectations to its peak. ‘Takht’, a historical magnum opus is all about War for Love that is based on the story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz’s kids who eyes for the majestic Mughal throne. While Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of Dara Shukoh, Vicky Kaushal, who plays Singh’s brother will essay the role of Aurangzeb. Kareena will be seen in the role of Jahanara Begum (sister of Ranveer) and Alia will play Ranveer’s love interest.
