It`s official... the release date of Dharma Productions` next venture Brothers` has been confirmed. Initially slated to hit the screens on 2nd October 2015, the film will be releasing on July 31st, 2015.

Co-presented by Lionsgate and Endemol India, Brothers` is directed by Karan Malhotra and stars Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff.

Confirming the development, the film`s lead hero Sidharth Malhotra tweeted thus, "Hey guys thought il tell u that #Brothers will now release 31st of July 2015."

Incidentally an upcoming production of Akshay Kumar was slated to release on 31st July 2015; whereas Karan Johar was keen for Brothers` to release on this date. The change of plans happened after Johar requested Akshay to shift his movie to the October 2 weekend. And the Khiladi` graciously agreed to do so. For the records, Akshay and KJo will be working together for the first time in 'Brothers', the remake of 'Warriors'.
