Controversy Brews: Karan Johar Upset by TV Show Comedian's Imitation

A television comedy show that featured a comedian impersonating Karan Johar seems to have gotten the director a bit miffed. The director of "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" took to social media to express his disappointment with the act, which he considered distasteful. Johar, not taking any names, expressed his shock on Instagram at the lack of disrespect in the industry at the moment.
While Johar's post did not name anyone, social media was abuzz with theories connecting the impersonation to Kettan Singh on Sony TV's "Madness Machayenge." After this backlash, Singh then publicly apologized in an emotional message, saying he is a fan of Johar and did not mean to offend anyone.
Another close friend of his, Ektaa Kapoor, also wrote a post lashing out at the trend of lampooning industry personalities. On the professional front, it has been a pretty busy year for the director, with projects like "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari" and an untitled one with Kartik Aaryan, following his return to the job last year with "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani."
