Karan Johar signs Fawad Khan opposite Ash in his next film!

This philosophical song (Pun Intended) from Guru Dutt's movie C.I.D. explains the atrocities of living in Mumbai but it seems, the city has proved to be a bed of roses for the Pakistani actor turned Bollywood heart throb, Fawad Khan.
The prince charming of KHOOBSURAT' in a short span has not become India's First Pakistani actor to be bestowed with the prestigious Filmfare Best Debutant Actor award but the latest news is that celebrated filmmaker Karan Johar has signed him for his upcoming film AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL!
According to sources Fawad Khan has been signed opposite none other but the beautiful and gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan!
Fawad Khan who has a huge fan following thanks to his 'ZINDAGI GULZAR HAI' stint on TV and his hit film KHOOBSURAT' opposite Sonam Kapoor is on sky nine listening the news.
Readers may recall AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL! Is a remake of Yash Chopra's DOOSARA AADMI (1977), an unconventional love triangle about a mature movie (Rakhee), who loses her husband (Shashi Kapoor) in an accident and is slowly drawn towards a young and handsome youth (Rishi Kapoor). However the story takes an interestingly twist when Rishi Kapoor's love interest (Neetu Singh) discovers Rakhee's closeness to Rishi Kapoor.
Karan Johar in an interview said, "AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL! dwells deeply on relationships, heartbreaks and how love completes you, defines you and yet leaves you wanting for more. I have never had, in my entire career, a film that has come to me so fast, so organically and so from within."
While Karan had written the screenplay keeping in mind Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing Rakhee's pivotal role and Ranbir Kapoor reliving his father (Rishi Kapoor') role and Anushka Sharma playing Neetu Singh. He was only wondering about an actor who could do justice to the character portrayed by legendary actor Shashi Kapoor in the original. After lots of pondering Karan has finally zeroed upon Fawad Khan!
Karan Johar who is also directing the movie plans to release the film on June 5 next year and the team will start shooting for the film from mid 2015.
