Karan Johar is convinced that a truly pan-India phenomenon has arrived with vigour after the 'Baahubali' films and 'KGF'. In a roundtable with Film Companion, the Bollywood producer-director said that 'Pushpa: The Rise' has been minting money in the Hindi market because the Hindi audience know Allu Arjun from his dubbed movies on YouTube.
He suggested that just Bunny's face on the poster is enough for the Hindi audience to go and watch his movie in a theatre. Johar is seemingly wowed by the scale of business that 'Pushpa' has done and 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' is expected to do on January 7.
Johar said that the SS Rajamouli directorial is expected to make Rs 30 Cr (Nett) on Day 1 in Hindi alone. "Imagine how from 'RRR' might make in Telugu," Johar added, suggesting that sky is the limit.
He added that the Hindi audience may not know Jr NTR and Ram Charan very well but they are ready to shower money on 'RRR' because of Rajamouli. "NTR and Charan are demi-Gods in Telugu," he added.
