Couple weeks ago, Netflix came up with the Malayalam film 'Minnal Murali' which gave the audience their very own indigenous superhero of the same name. The film received positive reviews from fans as well as critics. Apart from this, lead actor Tovino Thomas also got few words of appreciation from filmmaker Karan Johar himself.

Tovino took to Instagram to share a screenshot of his chat with Karan. The filmmaker had texted him, "Hey Tovino! I finally got the opportunity to watch Minnal Murali last night and has so much fun! So smartly made and keeping the entertainment quotient right through! Was a clutter breaker superhero film! And ofcourse you were and are incredible! Congratulations! Such a joy!" Tovino's response to this read, "Thank you so much sir! It means a lot to us!"

The actor captioned this post as, "Messages like these ! It’s not always that the whole world starts appreciating your work from every nook and corner. And specially when an ace filmmaker like @karanjohar who has given numerous all-time entertainers for us, appreciates our work, it sure feels surreal Thank you Sir for letting us know how much you loved the movie ! Glad to know you enjoyed it thoroughly."

Tovino has shot to another level of fame with 'Minnal Murali' and this appreciative gesture from Karan Johar might mean that he may soon appear in Bollywood projects as well.
