Karan is more than happy that 2010 is here. Why wouldn’t he be? Three of his movies are lined up for release soon and this has given enough reasons to the actor to cheer about.

“Kanagavel Kakka, Kandha and Thambi Vettothi Sundaram will hit the screens in the coming months. They are quite different from each other. Hopefully I would be able to make a good impact this year,” he says.

What qualities do you think have established you as a hero in the Tamil film industry? To this question, Karan says, “I have worked hard to carve a niche for myself and people have acknowledged me as a ‘minimum-guarantee’ actor. I would keep going on the same path and try my best to win their appreciation.”

“Each and every film of mine has given me a great sense of self-satisfaction,” he says and adds: “Nammavar, Kannathire Thondrinal, Kadhal Kottai and Love Today won me laurels. Other films too are important to me.”

“When stereotypical heroes were the norm, Kokki broke all the rules and portrayed me differently. My subsequent films including Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar, Thee Nagar, Kathavarayan and Malayan offered me a lot of scope to prove myself,” he points out.
