The Telugu remake rights of the recent Malayalam release 'Kappela' have been sold. Announcing the news, film producer Vishnu took to his social media, writing: “Kappela is to be remade in Telugu by Sithara Entertainments (Producers of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo , Jersey Movie , and many more). Kappela is the third movie from malayalam industry after Premam & Ayyappanum Koshiyum to be bought by them! Expressing our sincere thanks to all well wishers for making our small movie a grand success!”
It may be noted that recently, the remake rights of Prithviraj’s Driving Licence and Ayyappanum Koshiyum were bought for a huge price too.
The movie revolves around three lead characters played by Anna Ben, Sreenath Bhasi and Roshan Mathew. From Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap to Mollywood's top stars several celebrities heaped praises on the movie. 'Kappela' marks the maiden directorial venture of actor Muhammad Musthafa, who is best known for his performance in 'Paleri Manikyam'.
Kappela's story, screenplay, and dialogues are done by Nikhil Waheed and Mustafa Sudhaz. Jimshi Khalid has cranked the lens and Sushin Shyam is in charge of the music department. 'Kappela' is produced by Vishnu Venu, under the banner of Kadhas Untold. The film which released earlier this year, is now available on Netiflix.
