Kappal Muthalaali
Director Thaha had been famous for his slapstick comedy movies, which had already made way into the lists of best comedy collections in Malayalam. His `Mookkillarajyathu' and `Ee Parakkum Thalika' are examples of his ability to tickle your funny vein in a regular manner. But his last few movies like `Heilesa' and `Kerala House Udan Vilpanakku' were not in the league of his bests and met with a disastrous fate in the Box Office. And now Thaha had opted for a fresh theme which can create tons of smiles on viewers.
His new movie `Kappal Muthalaali' will feature popular TV presenter and comedy artiste Ramesh Pisharody as the hero. He will be Soorya Narayanan in the movie, a youth who keeps big aspirations in his life. His dreams are all revolving around a property in the city, which he inherited. Soorya Naryanan finds that making a tourist resort in the land, is the best possible business which can bring him big returns. He starts to realise his plans to build a resort by digging down for making a good basement. And he finds to his astonishment, the archaic remnants of a ship. Soorya takes no time to inform the archeological department which lands him to further troubles and his project of resort building gets blocked. Soorya has got a friend in Radhika, who also works with the same department. Now with the help of some fresh ideas from her, he plans to venture into a new arena of business. The movie goes on to tell in a lighter manner, how some unexpected happenings can change the fate of a youth.
The movie scripted by Saji Damodhar and Thaha also have feature all the eminent comedy artists of Malayalam including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Salim Kumar, Cochin Haneefa, Mukesh, Jagadeesh, Jagathy Sreekumar, Thilakan, Maala, Mamukoya, Bijukuttan and Bindu Panikkar. Sarayu debuts as the heroine of the movie playing the role of Radhika.
The music department of `Kappal Muthalaali' is handled by debutante Sumesh Anand in the lyrics of Anil Panachooran. Produced by Mummy Century and Ramees Raja in the banner of Screen Arts and Highness Release, the movie will get into theatres by the end of this month.
