Sonam Bajwa, the lead actress of the successfully running film Kappal, produced by director Shanker and starring Vaibhav as the lead actor, recently spoke to the media of her entry into Kollywood and how impressed she is with some of the actors here. And that includes none other than our own Ilayathalapathy Vijay! It seems that Vijay's demeanor and calm poise has impressed this young lady very much as she had only great things to speak of him.

"Though I hail from Punjab, somehow i was always connected with South India. Friends from this region were plenty and especially Tamil speaking. This culture and language was not new to me.It is an absolute pride to find my name in a film produced by Shankar sir. I had a day of my life meeting the legends of Tamil cinema in a single event . Vijay sir, Vikram sir, A R Rahman sir, and Shankar sir each emperor in their respective areas were so sweet and kind to a new comer like me. I was very impressed with Vijay sir, he was simple and elegant. No wonder his fan base is so strong. It is a lifetime desire to be paired opposite him and am very confident that this will happen soon. Post 'Kappal' there are plenty of offers that had been coming my way and a formal announcement on the same will be made soon.
