Kapil Sharma's biopic announced

Comedian and Bollywood entertainer Kapil Sharma is all set to have a biopic of his own. The project was made official today by producer Mahaveer Jain and presenter Subaskaran of Lyca Productions. To be helmed by filmmaker Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the biopic is titled 'Funkaar'.

Given the kind of entertainment that Kapil Sharma has been known for, the biopic is expected to be a distinct one that will dish out fun and inspiration. The subject matter, Kapil, has made his way to the top slot among comedians over the years. He hails from Amritsar and didn't have it easy initially. His journey from his hometown to Mumbai and how he rose constantly will be chronicled in the biopic.

It was in the year 2007 that Kapil Sharma hit the bull's eye with The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Known for movies like 'Comedy Circus', he was catapulted to stardom on TV with 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'. Also known for the popular talk show 'The Kapil Sharma Show', the comedian is known for spontaneity and awareness.
