While he became No.1 entertainer by tickling the audiences funny bone on television, one can see Indias favourite Kapil Sharma making his debut on big screen as well. Buzz is that Kapil has just signed a 3-film contract with Yash Raj Films. He debuts in a film titled "Bank-Chor" under their Youth Films Division, Y-Films which previously made the sleeper hit of last year, "Mere Dad Ki Maruti."
Said the 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' famed host, "Its a privilege and a dream to be part of the YRF family and have my launch with their Youth Films Studio, Y-Films. The script is the most exciting part since its the kind of role thats very unlike the stereotype of a comedian or what people could typecast me as. As an actor its challenging and Im so excited that Ive already started working on the nuances of the character. Ive always loved & watched thrillers and this is a thriller comedy so even better ;) Ive done serious theatre for years before comedy. Finally with YRFs vision, Ill get to do this again after a 12-year break and this script has equal scope of comedy. Its sure to surprise my fans!"
"Bank-Chor" is a comic-caper, that tells the story of 3 morons trying to rob a bank who pick the worst day possible when everything that can go wrong, goes wrong and how theyre inadvertently caught in the crossfire of cops, industrialists and corrupt netas. "Bank-Chor" is directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil and goes on the floors in April this year.
