Filmmaker Kabir Khan is all set to astonish the audience with his soon to be released sports drama '83'. The film will be based on India's historic win in the 1983 Cricket World Cup and according to latest buzz, it seems like the makers have found yet another way to add little treats for the die hard cricket fans who are waiting for the film.

A report in ETimes suggests that Mohinder Amarnath, vice captain of Kapil Dev's team will have a special appearance in the film. He'll portray the character of his own father, Lala Amarnath. "We will get to see the real hero of the ‘83 World Cup winning team Mohinder Amarnath in the movie too. But he will play the role of his father in this movie. He will be seen smoking a cigar and appreciating his son's game from the stands," a source told ETimes.

This will be the second instance of a son playing his father's role in '83'. Other one is, Chirag Patil playing Sandeep Patil. It is also being reported that Kapil Dev will be seen in a small cameo appearance as one of the spectators in a game. '83' is going to his the screens on 24th of December.
