Mega producer Chalasani Aswanidutt is producing a film 'Kantri' on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies with Meher Ramesh as director and NTR in the title role.

Meher Ramesh proved his calibre by making the Kannada version of 'Andhrawala' a super hit, though its Telugu original was proved a dud.

The film is all set to go to sets on September 14.

Puri Jagannath had started the tradition of keeping 'slander words' as titles with his film 'Idiot'. Again it was Puri Jagannath, who titled his film as 'Pokiri'. With both the films becoming big hits, several slander words have come up including 'Julayi, Pokirollu, Aawaragadu' and others as titles.

Now a film is going to be launched with a title called 'Kantri'.

Music director Manisharma is scoring music for the movie.

Presently, NTR's latest flick 'Yamadonga' directed by Rajamouli is running successfully and proved a blockbuster.
