Actor-cum-filmmaker Rishab Shetty shot to national fame with the film Kantara. The team is now coming up with a prequel for the film, titled Kantara: Chapter 1. Rishab Shetty will act in the lead role and also direct the film. Interestingly, the film's release date is confirmed now.

Hombale Films which is producing the film has confirmed that the film will have a grand release on October 2nd, next year. The team plans to bring the film for a grand release in multiple languages.

The film Kantara was first released in Kannada and slowly came out in Telugu and Hindi as well and received huge collections. The film collected more than 400 Crores at the box office.

The film is being produced by Hombale Films while Ajanish Loknath is composing the music. The team is highly confident of the film's output and they hope that the prequel will also love up to the expectations of everyone.
