Manchu Lakshmi is renowned not only for her versatile roles and performances but also for her candid and bold statements. She is set to captivate audiences with her upcoming web series Yakshini, which will soon stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Playing a key role in the series, Manchu Lakshmi recently shared her forthright views on various topics during a media interaction.
Addressing the controversy surrounding the Bengaluru rave party, where several Tollywood celebrities were arrested, Manchu Lakshmi firmly distanced herself from the incident. She stated, I have nothing to do with the rave party; I am unaware of it and unbothered by it.
When asked about why she hasn't acted alongside her brothers, Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj, she humorously remarked, I used to say that the boys in my house are afraid to do it with me. If I do it, I think they won't do it. Ask them, not me. My support will always be with them. I don't want to play a character like that. I haven't been offered a significant role in their films, and I don't want to just play a small part. If I appear in every movie, it will turn into a family movie.
Regarding the absence from her brother Manchu Vishnu's dream project Kannappa at the Cannes International Film Festival, where the teaser was screened, she provided a candid response. No one invited me to Cannes. I stayed back for this release (laughs). Everyone thinks going to Cannes is a big deal, but Cannes is just a film village. Everyone should visit if they get the chance it's a fun experience. But I won't go just to have fun. I'll go when my film is there. My father, Vishnu, and Prabhudeva took their movie. It wasn't a family outing, she explained.
