After some years of films like ‘Mayoori’ and ‘Kamaladhalam’, there is another film getting ready with dance and romance as its central theme. Titled ‘Aattakkatha’, this movie is directed by producer Kannan Perumudiyoor, based on his award winning novel ‘Cholliyattam’, featuring artists like Vineeth, Meera Nandan and a French theatre artist Irish. The movie will have classical art forms like Kathakali as its backdrop.

The movie will also present the last set of songs by late music maestro Raveendran written by Gireesh Puthenchery.

Vineeth dons the lead role in the movie as a Kathakali student Unnikrishnan. This is the fourth film in which Vineeth is seen in the role of a Kathakali artist, the others being Kamaladhalam, Parinayam and Mizhikal Sakshi. Produced in the banner of Harishree films International, the movie is scripted to suit the screen by Shathrugnan.
