The popular pair of yesteryears – Upendra and Prema back after Upendra` Kannada film. It is after 17 years they are working together in a film together. In 1995 Upendra directed Om` super hit film of Dr Shivarjakaumar, it was who Prema played the dashing role in that film.

Hayagriva Enterprises producers MS Srikanth and MS Shashikanth have brought the two together in this film Upendra Maththe Baa`. The film has reached the final schedule of shooting says director Arun Lokanath.

Upendra has penned dialogues, J Swami camera, Jayanth Kaikini, Yogaraj Bhat, Dr V Nagendra Prasad lyrics, Sridhar V Sambram music, Thriller Manju, Different Danny stunts, Joni Harsha editing is technical team of this film.

Upendra is teamed with Prema, Shruthi Hariharan, Chandini, Harshika Poonacha, Saikumar, Sadhu Kokila, Tennis Krishna, Vasishta Simha and others. This Kannada film is a remake of Telugu film Soggade Chinni Nayana` produced by Akkinene Nagarjuna that was released in January 2016.

Top star of Telugu films Akkineni Nagarjuna starred in that film with Ramya Krishna, Lavanya Tripati. Kalyan Krishna Kurasala directed this film that was written by Ram Mohan P.
