The COVID 19 pandemic second wave is spreading at an alarming rate for the week or so touching almost 3 lakh cases per day and claiming more than 2000 lives per day. The emphasis now is on staying home if possible, wearing masks, washing hands and most importantly exercising strict social distancing to fight the killer.
Politicians and celebrities are also testing positive for the coronavirus on a day-to-day basis and the film industry has been left shell shocked by the death of 35-year-old actor Manjunath who was under treatment in Bengaluru after getting infected a few days back.
Manjunath made his name as a producer bankrolling films such as 'Samyukta 2' and 'Chemistry of Cariappa'. He recently made his debut as a hero in the new movie 'Zero Percent Love' which is complete and he was waiting for its release when he tested positive for COVID 19.
Kannada film industry celebrities are posting condolence messages to Manjunath on social media and are ruing the fact that the deadly virus has claimed an otherwise healthy young man.
