Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna is expectedly creating a buzz as the countdown is heading towards the Big Release this Friday. With over 900 prints being flooded in the market and publicity blitzkrieg hitting the subconscious of masses, it goes without saying KANK had to have a huge opening. “The advance booking in all our multiplex theatres as well as single screen theatres has been wonderful,” says Girish S Wankhede, Manager, Public Relations, Cinemax, Mumbai.

The advance booking for multiplexes starts from Wednesday, but an exception was made in the case of ‘KANK’ as the advance started from Sunday itself. At a prominent single screen theatre Gaeity Cinema, all shows are houseful till the next Tuesday (15th August) repeating the magical opening of ‘Mangal Pandey’ last year around the same time. So, will KANK beat the stupendous show of ‘Krrish’? “The response is overwhelming. I think it is possible that KANK may beat Krrish as the star cast is powerful.”

Trade is jubilant with the ecstatic response received by KANK. It’s been the year that Hindi Cinema will remember for a long time as so many films have hit the Bull’s Eye at the Box Office breaking one record after another. Let’s wait and watch and see what Magic KANK manages as it unleashes this Friday.
