A case has been filed against DMK's Thoothukudi Lok Sabha election candidate Kanimozhi, MLA Anitha Radhakrishnan and 7 others on charges of distributing cash for votes. Kanimozhi has been campaigning for Lok sabha elections in Thoothukudi for the past few days.

Few days back when Kanimozhi had been to Tiruchendur constituency for campaigning and was accompanied by Anitha Radhakrishnan. During the campaigning it was noted that Anitha Radhakrishnan had distributed money to the people who had welcomed Kanimozhi and this video had turned viral across social media.

After this, a case was filed by the Tahsildar Muthuramalingam citing that Kanimozhi and Anitha Radhakrishnan had violated the model code of conduct and the cops have filed a case against Kanimozhi, Anita Radhakrishnan and 7 others, under various sections.
