'Varalaru' actress Kaniha, who was recently seen in Mani Ratnam's 'OK Kanmani' will play a police officer for the first time, in her forthcoming Malayalam movie 'eDiary'.

In this film by Majeed Manasserry, Kaniha will play Meera Nanda, a Deputy Commissioner of Police. She will probe the murder of a dancer. "Her investigation will see various twists and turns," sources said.

Kaniha's next release in Malayalam will be Shibu Gangadharan's Rudrasimhasanam. Recently, the actress said she has been getting interesting roles in Mollywood and she is happy about it.
