The title of Suriya's 42nd film along with the interesting motion poster was released on April 16th to thunderous response from fans. The film has been given the intriguing title 'Kanguva'. Fans and netizens are super curious to know what exactly is the meaning of the word.

Director Siruthai Siva, in his recent press interaction has shed light on that revealing that Kangu is ancient Tamil word for fire and 'Kanguva' means a man with the power fo fire. According to him the title was chosen to suit all the ten languages the film will be released which is actually the first time for a Tamil film.

The hardworking commercial filmmaker added that the screenplay contains both historical and current events with Suriya donning different getups for the different periods. Siva who has known Suriya since childhood gushed about the leading star's dedication and cooperation during the filming. He also has high praise for Bollywood actress Disha Patani who debuts in Tamil and promises that her pairing with Suriya will give a fresh experience to the audiences.

Siruthai Siva also let out that the horse, dog and eagle in the 'Kanguva' motion poster released yesterday are very important in the story. The film made in 3D in two parts has music by DSP and is produced on a grand scale by Studio Green and UV Creations. The release date has been announced as early 2024.
