Actress Kangana Ranaut has made a image for herself due to her controversial remarks about various issues in the country. Director Anurag Basu, who helmed Kangana's first film, says that he doesn't understand the public persona she has made over time. Kangana has made bold statements about various Bollywood biggies like Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar etc. which led to her current image in media.
Anurag gave Kangana her first break in the 2006 flick 'Gangster' after her face stuck in his mind after the audition. When he was asked if he saw indications of her becoming the person she is today, Anurag said, “Not really. We usually don’t meet, but whenever we do, this [public] persona is not the Kangana I [know] personally. So I think there are two Kanganas. Beech wali [the other one] I don’t understand.”
