Star Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel is in the news because her Twitter account has been suspended by Twitter for "spreading hate".
As per reports, Rangoli had been posting "hate-filled" posts since a mob belonging to a particular community on Wednesday attacked medical staff and police in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. Mass reporting of her tweets followed. Twitter India has on Thursday suspended the account without further notice.
One of the complaints against Rangoli came from a Bollywood film personality Sumit Kashyap. "Dear Uddhav Thackeray (CM of Maharashtra), as you had said earlier, there is another virus (Communal Virus) and many people are suffering from it. Rangoli Chandel (infamous sister of Kangana Ranaut) is suffering from a high level infection of the said virus. Request you to quarantine her from the society. Thanks," he tweeted out.
Many on social media have welcomed Twitter's decision to suspend Rangoli's account.
