Kangana Ranaut's upcoming directorial venture 'Emergency' is one of the most anticipated projects of Bollywood at the moment. A short teaser of the same was released a while ago and it has managed to create excitement among the audience. The latest buzz about the project suggests that veteran actor Anupam Kher has joined the cast and he is going to essay the role of social activist and politician JP Narayan.
Kangana, who is also playing the lead in this project, is super excited to have a Anupam on board. She said in a statement, "J P Narayan was the most powerful human being to have happened after Mahatma Gandhi in politics in recent Indian history. The kind of influence he had on people was enormous. I wanted an actor who had the personality and calibre to match up to that larger than life persona of Lok Neta, J P Narayan."
Talking about how Anupam is the perfect fit for this role, Kangana said, "Anupam ji with his stature, his acting skills, his overall persona fit into the role perfectly.I am privileged and humbled that he chose my script. I am nobody to choose him. He chose my script and I am honoured, to say the least.
