Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been shooting for ‘Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi’ currently and after this, she is to move to another big project titled ‘Panga’. She has signed Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's project where she will be seen essaying the role of a national-level Kabaddi player. Our very own Punjabi heartthrob Jassie Gill will be seen as her husband. And Neena Gupta will also be seen in a pivotal role.

Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari chose a unique way to announce the film on her social media. She shared a video featuring snapshots of its cast members that includes Kangana Ranaut, Neena Gupta and Jassie Gill along with their family. Jassie said, “I loved the script, especially the inspiring family angle. The film is a rollercoaster of emotions but to me, the real Indian family feeling was the most heart-warming part of the subject. Since I come from a very close-knit family, I could identify with the story."

When Ashwiny was asked about ‘Panga’, she said, “I wanted to keep evolving with stories that talk about relationships in a new-age Indian family. Fox Star Studios is exactly in the same space of storytelling and I am filled with gratitude to work with them to see our vision unfold and create characters and stories that would be relatable to all and still be unique."
