Last year, actress Kangana Ranaut made her Tamil debut with the film 'Thalaivi' and now she is all set to follow that up with yet another amazing performance. The buzz suggests that Kangana has been roped in as the female lead in the upcoming sequel of 2005 film 'Chandramukhi'. The film originally starred Jyothika and Rajnikanth and it was remade in Bollywood as 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa'.
Starring alongside Raghav Lawrence, Kangana will portray Chandramukhi, a course dancer who was known for her beauty and incredible skills. As of now, the actress is working on her film 'Emergency'. According to a report in The Indian Express, a source stated, "She will be taking a small break from Emergency and the second schedule of Chandramukhi 2 will commence in January after Emergency wrap."
Announcing this project earlier this year, Raghav Lawrence had tweeted, "I’m elated to announce my next project #Chandramuki2! I’m extremely happy to work with Vadivelu Anna again. A big thanks to my Guru @rajinikanth! Thanks to Shivaji productions for giving the title. I’m excited to collaborate with Subaskaran sir @LycaProductions for the first time and I’m happy to be directed by Vasu sir again! Music by Keeravani sir. Cinematography by RD Rajasekhar sir."
