Actress Kangana Ranaut is all geared up for the second directorial venture of her career. It was revealed couple months ago that Kangana is going to star in a film about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi but now she has announced that she'll direct the project as well. She underwent face and body scans couple days ago as a part of the prep for the role. The actress previously filled the director's chair for her film 'Manikarnika'.
She took to social media to announce, "Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on Emergency for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high. This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league #Emergency #Indira."
The film will be titled 'Emergancy' and Kangana described it as a political drama rather than a biopic. She said, "It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi. It is a grand period film. To be precise, it is a political drama that will help my generation to understand the socio-political landscape of current India.”
