Actress Kangana Ranaut has a very impressive filmography. She has come a long way since her debut and just like every other big star, she had to turn down some projects which later turned out to be very successful. Apparently, the actress was also offered the lead role in the film 'The Dirty Picture' but she passed it. The role was then filled by Vidya Balan who gave a career defining performance in it.

Recently, Kangana opened up about passing in such an iconic role and she uttered a few words of appreciation for Vidya Balan as well. Kangana said, "I think ‘The Dirty Picture’, just like I always said, turned out to be so wonderful! But I don’t think I would have done it better than Vidya Balan because she was terrific in that. But yes, sometimes I feel that I didn’t see the potential in that film. I was not given anything on the platter."

Although Vidya was beyond perfect in her portrayal of a troubled film star, Kangana's outspoken personality make one wonder how well she would have played such a character.
