After Jayalalitha, Kangana Ranaut set to play another strong political leader

After portraying the late politician, Jayalalitha is her biopic 'Thalaivi', Kangana Ranaut is set to get into the shoes of yet another strong political figure of our nation. She confirmed that she's going to appear as the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an untitled project. Although the film won't be a biopic, it'll cover major events from Gandhi's life including the operation Bluestar and The National Emergency.
Kangana said, Yes, we are working on the project, and the script is in the final stages. It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi. It is a grand period film. To be precise, it is a political drama that will help my generation to understand (the) socio-political landscape of current India.
Earlier, Kangana made a statement that Indira Gandhi is one of the strongest political leaders nation has ever seen. The film will also include figures like Sanjay Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri and others.
