Kangana Ranaut restarts shooting for Jayalalithaa biopic

Kangana Ranaut has resumed her work on the Jayalalithaa biopic 'Thalaivi'. The Tamil-language film, which will be released in Telugu as well, stars the 'Queen' actress as the late CM of Tamil Nadu.
"Dear friends, today is a very special day. I am resuming work after 7 months, travelling to southern India for my most ambitious bilingual project 'THALAIVI'. I need your blessings in these testing times of a pandemic," the 'Manikarnika' actress wrote on Twitter, sharing a few selfies.
Helmed by AL Vijay, the biopic has screenplay by KV Vijayendra Prasad, the 'Baahubali' writer. Rajat Arora is also associated with the writing department.
Also starring 'Dhruva' actor Arvind Swamy, Prakash Raj, Poorna, and Madhoo, the biopic will hit the screens in 2021.
