There are multiple negative aspects about work culture of Bollywood and inequality of pay among male and female actors is one of them. Over time, several actresses have voiced their opinion on pay parity and shared how they only get paid a fraction of the amount that their male counterparts recieve. However, actress Kangana Ranaut doesn't belong to the same crowd.
While talking at the trailer launch event of her upcoming film 'Dhaakad', Kangana shared that she is content with what she gets paid. "Don’t say this in front of the producers. In front of them, I act like ‘bechaari ladki’, otherwise they’ll ask me if others are getting so much," she jokingly said.
On a serious note, the actress stated, "I am not underpaid. Today I can say proudly that thanks to people who make me feel that I am valued and my work is valued. There were times when I thought that even though I do the same work (as male co-stars), why don’t I get paid. But at this stage in my life, I am not underpaid.”
