Actress Kangana Ranaut was largely missing at the pre-wedding events of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant held in Mumbai, and there is a mild-roundabout swipe from Kangana at the celebrities that still managed to appear at the wedding. Kangana shared that she has always refused to entertain as a form of paid entertainment at house parties, as opposed to late singing legend Lata Mangeshkar.

Kangana Ranaut lashes out at the ruling party in Maharashtra and Shiv Seniks in particular on Twitter for targeting former actress Kangana Ranaut as'shopping of free publicities'.

Relating to Lata Mangeshkar's reported refusal to attend private parties even after being offered a hefty amount, Kangana shared an Instagram story reposting one news article around comments made by Lata's sister Asha Bhosle on a reality show.

Kangana stated, "Despite numerous juicy opportunities and offers for super hit songs, I abstained from dancing at weddings and even award shows." According to her, true wealth is where integrity stays, despite fame and fortune.

While Kangana did not elaborate on the performances of film stars at weddings, the mega pre-wedding Ambani celebrations were held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, where a host of film celebrities joined the celebrations.

Some of the high-profile personalities attending the pre-wedding celebrations included Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Katrina Kaif, among others. The pre-wedding multi-day events kicked off with concerts by Rihanna, Akon, and Diljit Dosanjh, amongst other top playback singers.
