For Vishwas Patil’s forthcoming film ‘Rajjo’, the ‘Fashion’ diva-actress Kangana Ranaut has shot her first ever classical mujra number and has gone ahead to reinvent a genre of dance that has been long forgotten. The track that goes "Kaleja Hai Hajir... Khanjar Kahan Hai", Kangana as a mujrawali recently shot for the film’s highlight song and.

Having trained in Kathak for the last 3 years at Nateshwar Nritya Kala Mandir under the guidance of Rajendra Chaturvedi, Kangana shot for the song composed by Uttam Singh and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya like a pro.

Stated Acharya, "Kangana has always been known as a powerhouse performer but now you will see her with new perspective. I was thrilled to see her dedication and the end result. It will be the best performance of Kangana’s life".

Clarifying that the song cannot be termed as an item number, Kangana said, "Item numbers are not my cup of tea and mujra songs in Rajjo can’t be called item numbers. They are highly authentic and a tribute to Gopi Krishna and I enjoyed every bit of dancing that I am getting to do in this film."

All praise for Kangana, director Vishwas Patil said, "For Rajjo’s role, I was looking for a brilliant actress who has been trained in Kathak and Kangana fit into this role perfectly.

I was searching for a powerhouse performer with a regal appeal on the lines of the iconic Vyjayantimala, Waheeda Raheman and Madhubala and without any complaints Kangana fulfilled my all expectations."

Produced by Four Pillars Entertainment, ‘Rajjo' also starring National Award winners Prakash Raj and Mahesh Manjrekar and newcomer Paras Arora is scheduled to release this year.

Kangana will be next seen in full length role alongside Sunny Deol in 'I Love New Year'.
