Actress Kangana Ranaut recently made an unexpected move by praising filmmaker Karan Johar's recent film 'Shershah'. This is surprising if you consider Kangana's general attitude towards the Dharma Productions owner but it does make sense given that Kangana and Captain Vikram Batra are from the same state.

Taking upto her instagram stories, Kangana shared a photo of Captain Batra and wrote, "National hero Vikram Batra was a Himachali boy from Palampur, very popular and loved soldier. When the tragedy happened, news spread like wildfire in Himachal, it slid through our hearts. As a kid, I remember being tormented for days."

Captain Batra was portrayed by Sidharth Malhotra in the movie. Kangana shared a pic of Sidharth as the character and wrote, "What a glorious tribute @sidmalhotra. Congratulations to entire team. It was a big responsibility and you all excelled."

Kangana usually has a hostile attitude towards Karan Johar since he is accused of favouring nepotism in the industry.
