Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has sent a legal notice to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), seeking Rs 2 crore as compensation for damages done to her office located in Bandra West, citing illegal demolition.
It must be noted that on September 9, the BMC had demolished parts of Kangana's office, following which the Bombay High Court had ordered a 'mstatus quo. The BMC had alleged that Kangana Ranaut's her hands were not clean and filed an affidavit claiming that the actress had not acquired mandatory permissions for unauthorised alterations in the office premises.
BMC had also accused Kangana Ranaut of trying to cover-up illegal construction works by making baseless allegations of malafide. BMC said that Kangana Ranaut made false and incorrect statements and has not approached the Court with clean hands.
