"Why aren’t we talking about this?!" international pop star Rihanna on Tuesday tweeted, sharing a report on the farmers' protests going on in Punjab. She was the first of the international celebs to supporting the protestors, followed by Greta Thunberg, the teen climate activist.
Soon after Rihanna made the tweet, Kangana Ranaut attacked her through a tweet and called her a fool. The 'Queen' and 'Manikarnika' actress also said that the protesting farmers are terrorists.
"No one is talking about it because they are not farmers. They are terrorists who are trying to divide India so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA. Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies," Kangana tweeted.
Kangana's intemperate remarks have drawn criticism. Parliamentarian Deepender Hooda has requested Twitter to ban her. "Rihanna's tweet is in response to a post on the internet ban in Haryana. Calling peacefully agitating farmers in Haryana ‘terrorists’ is highly inflammatory and hateful. The biggest irony is that these farmers are the biggest patriots," he wrote.
