Kangana Ranaut approached for Meena Kumari biopic

Kangana Ranaut, who has fast emerged the dark-horse of the industry and has never failed to impress with her performances , has been approached to play the title role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's biopic on yesteryear's tragedy Queen - Meena Kumari.

The film is touted to be an adaptation of late journalist, Vinod Mehta's book, Meena Kumari: The Classic Biography and Kangana was recently approached by the film's producers including Sunil Bohra who owns the rights of the book.

A source close to the actress reveals that Kangana having read the book, found it "absolutely riveting" and is going over her date diary , hoping to accommodate the film into her schedule early next year.
