Here's an update on Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar's case

Kangana Ranaut is unarguably the controversy queen of Bollywood. At this point, it'll be wonder if the actress could keep herself away from drama even for a week. Her legal case with legendary writer and lyricist, Javed Akhtar has taken a new turn as the she has finally started to pay attention to it and looks like she's ready to fight back. She has challenged the bailable warrant against herself by Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court. Earlier, the court had summoned Kangana regarding the matter but she ignored the orders.
The whole matter started after Kangana unnecessarily dragged Javed's name in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case during an interview which she gave to Republic TV. Feeling that her comments were totally baseless, Javed Akhtar filed a defamation case against the actress. He also alleged that the interview has had a large number of views and it was covered by other major media outlets as well.
Kangana's plea was filed on 10th of March and the hearing will take place on 15th. A report by Bollywood Hungama revealed that Akhtar has sought cognizance for the offence of defamation committed by Kangana Ranaut and punishable under the Indian Penal Code.
