Sanjay GuptaÂs much awaited, multi-starrer crime drama ÂShootout At Wadala was launched recently by the cast and crew at a press meet.
A sequel of 2007 hit ÂShootout At LokhandwalaÂ, ÂShootout At Wadala has again a male-dominated script  both story and character wise. With the film having on board talented men like Anil Kapoor, Mahesh Manjrekar, John Abraham, Sonu Sood, Tusshar Kapoor and Ronit Roy among others, one may wonder whether Kangana Ranaut, the only female lead, will have enough screen space in the film. But the beauty seems to be confident about her part and believes that audience will love her as well.
If one goes by her filmography, one can notice that Kangana mostly had been part of gangster films. Talking about her involvement in such films, Kangana jokingly remarked, ÂLagta hai don logon ko main jyada pasand aathi hoon (Looks like most of the dons love me)Â. But on a serious note the actress said, ÂIt has been quite a coincidence my first film to this film. But never ever have I deliberately chosen the script. This film is very special to me.
Agreeing that it's a gangster film and mostly a guys' film, Kangana revealed about her role saying, ÂI play John's love interest. I would call myself as romantic force of the film.Â
Playing a common Maharashtrian girl, Kangana said that her look has been kept simple in ÂShootout At WadalaÂ. ÂSince the filmÂs story is set in 70-80s, we had to stay authentic and couldnÂt afford to go glamorous with her (character), added the actress.
ÂShootout At Wadala is bannered under Balaji Telefilms Ltd and White Feather Films. According to the director the filmÂs backbone is Mr. Hussain ZaidiÂs book titled ÂDhongri To DubaiÂ.
