Kanchi Sankaracharyar admitted to a private hospital

Jeyandra Saraswai, the reigning ‘Sankaracharyar’ of Kanchi Sankara Mutt, was admitted to a private hospital in the early hours today.
Jeyandrar, who has had his own share of controversies during the past few decades including clashes with politicians, had been suffering from diabetes for the past few years. A couple of months back, he was admitted to a leading private hospital in Porur where he was treated for 3 days before he was discharged.
After Jeyandrar complained of breathing difficulties early this morning, he was rushed to a private hospital near the Sankara Mutt.
News of Jeyandrar taking ill spread like wildfire and already a group of his supporters and admirers have congregated outside the Hospital.
