'Kanchana's remake price goes up?

Bollywood is more eager than ever about films releasing down south - for making grander and more commercial remakes of the films that release in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu. Lawrence's recent bilingual horror flick, 'Kanchana' that released in Tamil and Telugu is raking in favourable reviews.

Every time a film gets decent reviews, talks are on for its remake rights. Similar is the case with 'Kanchana'. Earlier a deal for a remake was possible in less than half a crore rupees, but today the minimal amount quoted is nearly two crores! With 'Kanchana' doing decent business in the south the director of the film is believed to be claiming a whooping 4 crore rupees...

It seems the director-choreographer wants to wield the camera for the Hindi version of 'Kanchana.' At the moment Lawrence is directing one film with Prabhas titled 'Rebel' and one more with 'Ravi Teja' titled 'Full Mass' in Telugu.

The going has definitely gotten better for Lawrence Raghavendra, whether he will wield the megaphone in Hindi as well and with whom, we'll have to wait to know....
