Beware of newcomers! This is the slogan since a long time. Just for heck of making a film convinces the producer and come before the public with a pale subject and narration. This is happening time and again.

In 'Kanchana' also it is similar. Debutant director Sriganesh has not given 10 minutes of gripping narration in his 120 minutes of 'Kanchana' for new producer Srinath Reddy.

'Kanchana' is a big bore from the beginning till end. Making fool of public through television shows is outdated. The first half of the film is loaded with three guys fooling around people for the television channel they work. In the second half to beat the rival channel the three guys with another (added just for brining in Kiran) try robbing the bank in the pretext of 'Bakra' program but they are beaten badly by the police for serious offense.

So what else? There is beautiful Baby (Ragini) to come and dance with the first protagonist Venki (Diganth). The dance and romance appears twice on the screen. For other two songs director Sri Ganesh brought in Rangayana Raghu and Kiran on the significance of 'Kanchana' meaning money.

How to end the film? Director Sri Ganesh developed mistaken identity between two rival gangs to the martyr days firing in the air. The enemies are killed so easily. There is booty of Rs.1 crore which Venki and gang rejoice.

It is a waste once again for Diganth in his career. Three in a row gives Diganth a time to think seriously before signing a film. What made Ragini accept this kind of puerile film? Tabla Nani and Satish as sidekicks are OK.

Hrishikesh Hari has one good song in the opening and another duet is tolerable. Sundarnath Suvarana has just taken a nap quite frequently with his camera.
