Kannada films often locking in debate with regional censor versions is not new. To the list of controversial films adds Amarchand Jail Om Shanthi Vijay Productions` Kanchana`. The regional censor board advised for cutting of some of the scenes in Kanchana`. Disagreeing with regional censor, producer Amarchand Jain decided to place his film before the revising committee.

Vijay Surana is joint producer and story, screenplay writer plus director of the film. Two songs of this film are penned by Seshagiri and Santosh, MS Maruthi is music director. Shanker is cameraman, Jeevan edited the film. Kaurava Venkatesh stunts and Seshagiri dialogue other credits of the film.

Roopa Nataraj of Miss Mallige` fame now in 7` is in title role. Rahul is debutant, Hemanth, Hanumanthe Gowda, Vijay Chendur, Geetha and others are in the cast of Kanchana`.
