Kanchana 2

The first poster of Muni was rather a vivid one, Rajkiran gulping down a ball of rice with Raghaa Lawrence gaping at the sight and then came the second one; Raghava Lawrence as a blood chilling transgender sending shivers down the viewers and now after successfully establishing the franchise, the third part is even more gripping. The first part stole the show for its simple screenplay soaked with humor and horrific moments and the second carried on by adding some twists and turns, so it's only obvious that we expect something big in return.

Raghava Lawrence has multi-tasked by acting and directing the third installment, part of the cast will be retained as we hear and undoubtedly Kovai Sarala will play his mother. She has been an integral part of the previous movies and it's safe to say that she was one of the reasons why the movies were loved by one and all.

Horror and Comedy, the two sides of the coin well balanced and fed into an entertaining screenplay made the series something to watch and relish. Plus the engaging direction for a family outing was yet another key element that pulled crowds into the theatres. With Kanchana 2, apart from Raghava Lawrence and Kovai Sarala, the cast includes Jaya Prakash, Taapsee who is making a return to Tamil cinema after Arambam, Pooja who works across Malayalam and Telugu industries, and many more. The first and second part even though were critically acclaimed movies, the graphics was always something that the viewers complained off, this time the trailer has showed some promising sings of VFX and some breathtaking stunts too. Music too has been an integral part through the series and with each part the musician has changed, now Kanchana2 will see four music directors; : Leon James, Sathya, Ashwamithra and Thaman composing.

Revenge has been the propaganda of the previous movies and it will be interesting to see if Raghava Lawrence makeshifts or sticks to the winning theme. The movie is set to hit the stands after the Tamil new year on April 17 and will be clashing with Maniratnam’s OK Kanmani, so interesting start to the summer indeed.
