Kanavu Variyam` is the first Tamil and South Indian film, Hollywood Studio Warner Bros. Pictureswill be distributing Pan India. The Trailer and Audio launch of the film took place on February 8, 2017 with some unique features

The Trailer and Audio of Kanavu Variyam` was released by veteran Director Bharathiraja and received by the Directors of Warner Bros. Gaurav and George in the august presence of ISRO Scientist, Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Center Dr. K. Sivan on February 8, 2017.

Dr. K. Sivan was awarded as the Inspiring Scientist of India at the event. Director Bharathiraja was awarded as the Inspiring Director of India and Dr. Sirgazhi Siva Chidambaram was presented with the Inspiring Voice of India award.

The event was inspiring with the presence of Founder of the Rupee Symbol Udayakumar D, Associate Professor @ IIT Guwahati,Tamil Nadu Weatherman Pradeep John and Founder of Nallakeerai, Jeganathan.

ISRO Scientist,Vikram Sarabhai Space Center Director, Dr. K. Sivan was presiding the event. While speaking at the Audio Launch he appreciated the inspiring Entertainer Kanavu Variyam` based on power-cuts in rural India. Dr. K. Sivan added,Electricity will be a scarce resource in the next 15 years and it very apt that Director Arun Chidambaram has made a film on power-cuts. Dr. K. Sivan also talked about grass root innovation. He said that Films / Entertainment have a great reach and Arun Chidambaram should make more entertainers with Science and ISRO will support him on his endeavours.

Director Bharathiraja while speaking at the event praised director Arun Chidambaram saying that amidst the horror cinemas taken nowadays, the director of Kanavu Variyam` has brought out the culture and essence of village drama genre back to Tamil cinema with Science. I have known Arun Chidambaram for over 7 years and did not imagine that he would make a film. The song Kalla Manna took me back to my village and childhood days. Not a lot of people dare to take Power-Cuts as the theme and it is excellent that he took this theme as the backdrop of his film. Arun Chidambaram looks even smarter on screen and with Kanavu Variyam` we have got a great creator for Cinema. The film will be a big hit and people will not let Arun Chidambaram leave cinema and he should make more films which will inspire.

Founder of the Rupee Symbol (Udayakumar D), Tamil Nadu Weatherman (Pradeep John) and NallakeeraiJegannathanwere presented with The Inspiring Son of Tamil Nadu award by Dr. K. Sivan.

Apart from playing the lead role and directing the movie, Arun Chidambaram has written the Story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Lyrics for KanavuVariyam`.

Arun Chidambaram, Writer and Director of the movie 'Kanavu Variyam', completed his Masters in USA and worked for JP Morgan Chase in Chicago. Arun quit his lucrative job in United States and returned to Chennai, India to pursue his dream and passion in Cinema. Arun Chidambaram has also won personal accolades from the former President of India Dr.APJ.AbdulKalam.

Arun, is the son of 'Aanazhagan' Dr.A.Chidambaram, an Indian Sportsman, US trained Physical Culturist and a pioneer in the field of Physical Culture in Southern India for more than 4 decades. Dr.A.Chidambaram has been the personal health adviser for several VIP's in Tamil Nadu including former Chief Minister Dr.MGR and several others.

Jiya (Introducing) plays the heroine. Other star cast includeIlavarasu, Black Pandy, Prof.Ku.Gnanasambandan, YogJapee and SendhiKumari. Music is by Shyam Benjamin, Cinematography is by S.Selvakumar and Editing is by Gaugin.
