After 'Vettaikkaran', Vijay Antony has emerged a sought-after music composer in Tamil Cinema. Even before that, the success of songs like 'Naaka Mukka...' and 'Aathi Chudi...' has made people expect such racy and peppy tracks from him. And he has delivered them in 'Kanagavel Kakka', without disappointing the music-buffs.

With the likes of Sangeetha, Anand, Srilekha Parthasarathi, Divya Vijay, M K Balaji, Benny Dayal and Mahesh Vinayakaram rendering their voice, it is a youthful album quite typical of Vijay Antony. Snehan, Nellai Jeyantha and Vijay Antony himself have penned the lyrics.

Directed by Kavin Bala, 'Kanagavel Kakka' features Karan, Haripriya, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Raj Kapoor and others. The album has five songs and a theme music bit.

1. Tring Tring - Listen here

Singer:  Sangeetha

Penned by Snehan, it is a good beginning in the album. Sangeetha has sung with amazing energy. Due credit should be given to Snehan for penning the lyrics with such youthfulness all through. It is a high-spirited number.

2. Paniyara Konda - Listen here

Singer: Anand, Srilekha Parthasarathi

A catchy number penned by Snehan again. Peppy and pacy throughout, it is the song that would be lapped up by the masses instantly. Splendid rhythms, lively sounds and good use of nadaswaram makes it a perfect catchy number.

3. Indha Kadhal - Listen here

Singer: Divya Vijay, M K Balaji

Nellai Jeyantha is known for easy lyrics that can stick to lips instantly. He has not disappointed this time. The song is like a gentle breeze blowing through the window on a winter evening. The rhythms are good to listen to. Both Divya Vijay and M K Balaji excel.

4. Suthugira Boomi - Listen here

Singer: Benny Dayal

Snehan is at it again. This time a song that is about life in a village. A folkish melody, the song is attractive for it has good use of rhythms. Benny Dayal sings it with more grace.

5. Minsarame - Listen here

Singer: Sangeetha, Mahesh Vinayakaram

The composer himself has penned the lyrics. A racy and roaring number from, it has Vijay Antony stamp almost everywhere. More of heavy percussion and beats, the song has something in it to reach instantly the front-benchers. Vijay Antony seems to be developing an easy knack coming out with such songs.

6. Theme Music - Listen here

Vijay Antony

A short bit perhaps comes whenever the hero appears on screen. Drums and trumpet blow all through.

It's the usual Vijay Antony all through the album. He has given what people want - racy and rhythmic numbers. To sum it up, the music in 'Kanagavel Kakka' is catchy and easy to listen without complication.
