Actor, director, and politician Kangana Ranaut is getting ready for the premiere of her new project, "Emergency", which she calls as capturing the "darkest chapter of Indian history." Kangana made news as part of her promotional activities with a lighthearted comment meant for the paparazzi. Kangana made a joke during a recent occasion saying all photographers should be imprisoned.

In a playful scene caught by Viral Bhayani, Kangana said, "Saare paparazzi ko jail mein dalo. September six "Emergency" lagne wali hai. Manoranjan ki saare saadhano par ban kiya ja raha hai," said laughing. Online, the video attracted notice right away as viewers expressed enthusiasm for the movie. "Super excited for "Emergency"," one admirer said; another pointed out, "That's a quirky side of Kangana."

Still, the movie has generated some controversy. Alleging that the movie misrepresented Sikhs, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and the Akhal Takht have demanded a ban. Declaring legal action against Ranaut and voicing concerns on the representation of the Sikh community, SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami conducted a news conference. Additionally criticizing the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), he demanded Sikh representation on the board and claimed it to be biased.

Directed by Kangana herself, "Emergency" stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, and Shreyas Talpade in a star-studded ensemble. September 6 will see the film's release.
