Its a known fact that director AL Vijay, who had last directed the Prabhu Deva, Tamannaah starrer Devi 2 is next directing the biopic of yesteryear top heroine and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha, titled as Thalaivi, and the movie had started shooting before few days.

Now, the team has released the first look of Thalaivi, with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who is playing Jayalalitha, shown in two looks - a young one and another in Jayalalitha's look in the times she was the Chief minister, wearing a green attire.

Thalaivi has music by GV Prakash and cinematography by Vishnu Vittal. SS Rajamouli's father and screenplay writer of Baahubali, Vijayendra Prasad is a part of the scripting team, and the movie produced by Karma Productions and Vibri Media will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi on June 26, 2020.
